God Forgets Only Our Mistakes But Remembers All His Promises

What God is capable of is hard to fathom. He IS love. We in our selfish, resentful, pride-filled, grudge holding ways have a hard time envisioning a God who sees us as sweet children. How do you look at your children? Are you able to separate their sins as far as the east is from the west, or do you remind them of them frequently. Maybe your spouse has been a victim of this... or even you!

A god who says He IS love asks only for our complete submission to him. If we turn over our lives to him in that way, He promises to "remember our sins no more,"

Will you try to do this for others? Free them and yourself of your angry, bitter ways. Live each moment thinking about how you can show love to the people in the room with you. Maybe they'll learn something about God's nature by watching you forgive without a need for justice.

Love without expecting in return. Share just to see the joy on the face of the one who receives. You were worth that to God. He watched as the broken relationship was repaired, minute by minute, through the sacrifice of his Son. The one through whom the world was made, changed form in order to show us who he really was, a lover of all people, a restorer of love and the author of a new way of living.

Hebrews 8:11-13

"No longer will a man teach his neighbor,
or a man his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,'
because they will all know me,
from the least of them to the greatest.
For I will forgive their wickedness
and will remember their sins no more."[a]

By calling this covenant 'new,' he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear."
